Some of the young women from Manchester Township Middle School's (MTMS) seventh and eighth-grade class took the opportunity to attend the 2024 YWC@Princeton University on Friday, March 15, 2024. The Young Women's Conference calls all who are interested in STEM to the U.S. Department of Energy's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) Young Women's Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The conference's goals were to introduce careers in STEM through hands-on activities, small group presentations, a chemistry demo, and a keynote address. The MTMS students spent the day learning about a variety of opportunities from very prominent female scientists and engineers from around the world.
