It is a warm and sunny beach day making conditions ideal for the Regional Day School students to catch some fish, and that is exactly what they did on Saturday morning!
The NJ Beach Buggy Association (NJBBA) welcomed special needs children to Island Beach State Park for their 50th year in sponsoring National Fishing and Hunting Day. They hosted Manchester's Regional Day School in Jackson and any NJBBA members with special needs children for the celebration.
Students and their families Came together with MTSD and RDS staff on OBA-2 for hours of fishing excitement with their families and friends. A few fish were caught and many wonderful memories were made!
National Hunting and Fishing Day is typically celebrated the fourth Saturday of September. We are grateful to the NJ Beach Buggy Association (NJBBA) for their enthusiasm, knowledge and assistance in supporting our students with special needs as they enjoyed nature, learned how to fish, gathered for lunch, and had an overall great time!
