Ms. Laporte's 7th Grade Science classes at Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) were busy last week using the science and engineering practices that they are learning in class to analyze data using live superworms.
Students were assigned superworms and worked to set up a track for the worms to move down. They then plotted the worms' movements every ten seconds for a total of two minutes to calculate their speed. They will move forward this week and examine their superworm's results, then develop a line graph to display the distance the worm traveled over time and a bar graph comparing their average speeds.
Great job, MTMS!
