Manchester Township Elementary School is honored and excited to reintroduce your new Principal, Mrs. Ellen Healy, and to introduce your new Vice Principal, Mr. David Johnston! Together they are thrilled to welcome all students back to Manchester Township Elementary School for the 2024-25 school year!
Mrs. Healy was most recently the Vice Principal of Manchester Township Elementary School (MTES) and upon Principal Moore moving into her new role as the Director of Special Services, Mrs. Healy has the honor of leading MTES into the 2024-25 school year as the new Principal. During her time as Vice Principal at MTES, Mrs. Healy has been fortunate to work closely with our talented staff, dedicated families, and most importantly, our amazing students. She cherishes the relationships built and the collaborative spirit that defines MTES. It is this spirit of partnership and commitment to excellence that inspires her as she steps into this new role!
Principal Healy has been in education for over twenty years. She began her career as a kindergarten teacher and then taught grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 for fifteen years. Over the past seven years, she has had the privilege of working in various educational roles, including Supervisor of Humanities grades 6-12, Dean, and Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction grades PK-6. The past two school years she has been lucky enough to be the Vice Principal here at MTES.
Vice Principal Johnston brings to MTES 18 years in education as an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and the last 4 years have been spent as a Vice Principal. We are looking forward to Mr. Johnston transitioning from his current position into his new role as the MTES VP within the next several weeks. He is excited for the opportunity to lead MTES alongside Mrs. Healy and together build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement. They plan to work collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students.
Principal Healy and Vice Principal Johnson believe in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas, promotes positive citizenship, and values the unique talents and contributions of every individual. Their goal is to continue to support the Manchester Township School District's mission and values while encouraging an environment where every student feels safe, loved, and thrives. There is no limit to what MTES Dragons can do. Together we soar!
Principal Healy and Vice Principal Johnston are excitedly planning a meet and greet this fall where the MTES community will come together and formally celebrate Vice Principal Johnston's arrival, together! In the meantime, please be sure to join Principal Healy and the MTES staff for the upcoming Book Fair and Ice Cream Social at MTES on September 25 beginning at 5 PM. But first, we look forward to seeing everyone on September 12 for the MTES Back to School Night beginning at 5 PM.
