Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at their meeting. This month the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:
Manchester Township Elementary School
Manchester Township Elementary School (MTES) fifth grader Muhammed Yildiz helps out in the media center every day by cleaning up and straightening up the books. He also helps out by getting his classroom ready for his classmates and volunteering to help his teachers in class. MTES is proud of the work that Muhammed is doing in our school.
Ridgeway Elementary School
At Ridgeway, we are delighted to celebrate the incredible growth and achievements of one of our shining students, Durrell Warford. Durrell has demonstrated exceptional academic progress, and the staff at Ridgeway couldn't be more proud of him.
Durrell is a highly motivated student, always eager to dive into hands-on projects. In his free time, he’s creating amazing new projects, like parking garages, showcasing his ingenuity and creativity. Keep soaring, Durrell—you’re just getting started!
Whiting Elementary School
Marley McPartlin, Kaitlyn Kline, and Claire Kura, members of the Whiting Elementary School (WES) Junior Impact team proudly collected ingredients and supplies for Lasagna Love, an organization that feeds families that are in need. Students coordinated the collection of pans, pasta, and sauce. The collections were then given to local chefs who would happily prepare and deliver the meals. Nonperishable items were collected for this important work. Thank you to all of these students for taking the lead on the project and all of the students for reaching out to help those in need.
Regional Day School
Abby is the Regional Day School student of the month! Abby comes to school each day smiling, sharing her positivity, humor, kindness, and enthusiasm with others. Abby continues to follow directions, stays on task, and works hard to complete her daily activities. We are so proud of Abigail George!
Manchester Township Middle School
Mariana is an 8th-grade student at Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) who participates in both the Student Council and Impact Club. She is always willing to step up and take charge to help her teachers, her classmates, and even our MTMS parents. Mariana is fluent in several languages and has been overly generous and ready to help translate. Her eagerness to learn and her optimistic outlook inspire others.
Manchester Township Middle School Students of the Month
We are extremely proud to have Mitchell Anderson and Dallas Jackson represent MTMS as our student-athletes for the month of January. Mitchell and Dallas are both a great representation of what it means to be a student-athlete. They are both 8th grade leaders of our soccer/wrestling and soccer/basketball teams respectively and serve as an excellent example to our younger student athletes.
Manchester Township High School
Jameelah Elsammak and Mateo Solis represented Manchester Township High School (MTHS) and the Manchester Township School District with excellence at the Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce Member Connect Meeting. Their presentation impressed attendees, who commended their professionalism, maturity, and confidence. We are incredibly proud of these Hawks for being outstanding ambassadors of our community and leading by example!
MTHS Athletes of the Month
Jesse Sarana and Tyler DeSantis have been critical to the early successes of their MTHS teams this season. Though only a freshman, Jesse is adjusting quickly to the pace and intensity of the varsity level. Thus far she’s had multiple 20 pt. games, with an 11 pt. ave. while leading the Lady Hawks in assists. Tyler has been a critical leader of our team for 4 years now. He currently leads the division on average with 217, a high game of 267, a high series of 755, is one of the top 20 bowlers in NJ, and has our boys in control of the B-South Division. He has been a tremendous asset to our 1st year coach, Mike Sullivan.
Jesse and Tyler are tremendous team players and lead by example in their work ethic, dedication, and treatment of others. Great Job Hawks!
