Manchester Township High School's National Honor Society (NHS) students volunteered to visit residents at Crestwood Village VII today to provide them with technology support. 
Manchester's students have been receiving requests from communities in Manchester for Technology 101 assistance. Students volunteer a few times a year to take time out of their day and take a school bus to a local community where they provide basic technology assistance. MTHS Students helped residents with setting up electronic devices, searching, applications, usage of the devices, Facetime, and more! Today some of the residents were moved to tears in appreciation for the MTHS NHS students and their assistance, time, and patience as they troubleshooted individual technology solutions together.
Connecting the residents in our community with our students in this way has become invaluable. Some of today's residents were so appreciative of all our students and especially excited that our multi-lingual students were available to help them with their smartwatches, phones, and tablets in their native language!
Today's Technology 101 session was thanks to Crestwood Village VII resident Ms. Deluca who reached out initially to her granddaughter, a Manchester Township High School student, with an SOS from their residents who were hoping our students could come by to help. The student forwarded the inquiry to MTSD staff and the rest was history!
