Manchester Township High School (MTHS) is honored to welcome two new Vice Principals to the 2024-25 school year. We extend a warm welcome to Mrs. Jenean Swain and Mr. Joseph Serratelli as they head back to school in their new positions!
With Mrs. Raimondo moving into her role as the school district's Director of Curriculum and Ms. Thiffault moving into her role as Ridgeway Elementary School's new principal, Vice Principal Serratelli and Vice Principal Swain fulfill crucial roles at MTHS in support of our students and staff.
In their letters sent to the MTHS community this week, Vice Principal Serratelli and Vice Principal Swain introduced themselves to the families and students before the first day of school. In his letter to the community, Mr. Serratelli shared that as he begins his 11th year in the Manchester Township School District and 12th year in education, he is so honored to step into the role of Vice Principal and continue his journey in serving the students, families, and community members of Manchester Township. He is deeply committed to ensuring that every student receives the best possible education and support, and is eager to continue this mission as Vice Principal.
By way of background, Mr. Serratelli holds a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University and a master’s degree from Crown College. He earned his administration certificate through NJEXCEL in partnership with Thomas Edison State University. In this new role, his focus will be on fostering a positive, student-centered environment where all students can thrive. Mr. Serratelli looks forward to collaborating with our dedicated teachers and staff to provide strong, effective instruction and to support the diverse needs of our students.
In her letter to the community, Mrs. Swain shared that this year will mark her 24th year as a proud New Jersey school educator, serving as a classroom teacher and then school administrator. She has had the privilege of teaching students at all levels, elementary through higher education, as well as serving in roles such as Reading Specialist, College Professor, School Board President, and most recently Supervisor of Instruction. Her core values as a school leader are mirrored in what she sees and feels in the culture of Manchester Township School District.
Mrs. Swain believes in excellence in education, the preparation that leads to access and opportunity, and creating a sense of belonging that helps build connection, trust, and purpose for all students. She also believes in working tirelessly to help all students reach their fullest potential. As we begin this new year, Mrs. Swain looks forward to all the great things our students will accomplish!
Both Vice Principal Serratelli and Vice Principal Swain look forward to partnering with all MTHS families. Here’s to a great year in the Hawk’s Nest!
