Manchester Middle School's 7th-grade science classes are wrapping up their Chemistry Unit this week with Ms. Laporte. Students have spent weeks investigating physical and chemical changes, properties of matter, and the Law of Conservation of Mass.
Throughout the unit, they investigated these lessons by using several hands-on experiments including making oobleck, testing the effect of temperature on glow stick reactions, imitating chemical changes of Titanic artifacts, and making synthetic "gummy worms"! Manchester's students love hands-on learning!
