On the heels of this past weekend's Manchester Township School District (MTSD) Valentine's Dance, Regional Day School (RDS) students continued with a week of special events when the MTSD Gospel Chorus visited them on Monday morning.
The RDS students and staff were serenaded by some members of the MTSD Gospel Chorus which consists of Manchester Township Middle School and Manchester Township High School Students. Led by Mrs. Rutz at Manchester Middle School and Ms. Ramirez at Manchester High School, the student voices were enjoyed and appreciated by all.
At the end of this month, the MTSD combined Middle School and High School Gospel Chorus is hosting its first musical talent show to honor black performers, musicians, and writers on Thursday, February 29th at the MTHS auditorium.
The theme and selections chosen are to celebrate songs and musical pieces that were written by, or made famous by black artists. There is a $5 entrance fee for the event.
The registration form that contains additional details can be found in every MTSD's virtual backpack. The event is limited to 25 performers/acts at 5 minutes each, from start to finish. Contestants will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. An email will be sent to you to acknowledge receipt of your registration.
For questions, please contact Mrs. Rutz at Manchester Middle School or Ms. Ramirez at Manchester High School. We hope to see the community come out in support of this first-annual performance! More information can be found at www.manchestertwp.org.
