November BOE Meeting - Student Recognitions

Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at their meeting. This month the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:

Manchester Township Elementary School

Kyleigh Schear, Adriana Beiner, and Joseph Drewry serve as daily attendance ambassadors as part of the MTES crusade to improve and increase attendance. Each morning these students visit classes to see who has perfect attendance, and hand in daily results as part of the MTES attendance initiative. Classes work in multi-grade color teams and are awarded pop-in popsicle parties along with other incentives to celebrate classes with 100% daily attendance. Thank you to these attendance ambassadors for doing their part to inspire their fellow dragons.

Ridgeway Elementary School

On October 27th the Ridgeway’s Junior Impact Club, under the direction of Mrs. Schenck, visited the Children’s Memorial Garden located in Winding River Park.  The students worked very hard and did an outstanding job. They put sand in between the bricks to prepare for the winter months, shoveled sand, and swept the brick sidewalks.  Thank you to Leela Nolan and Kenzie White for accepting the award on behalf of the Junior Impact Club and for their hard work in making the garden look beautiful for the families that visit. We are proud of everything they accomplished!

Whiting Elementary School

Callie Poss displayed her artistic talents while raising awareness about Halloween safety. She was the third-place winner in the Ocean County Halloween Coloring Contest with more than 300 elementary school students across Ocean County participating. The county Department of Consumer Affairs sponsored the contest. She was presented with a Congratulatory certificate from the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.

Regional Day School

Since the start of the new school year, Nathan has made improvements in several key academic and self-help areas. His hygiene schedule has improved immensely.  Nathan’s behaviors in the classroom have also improved which has led to positive growth in the classroom. Everyone is so proud of Nathan!

Manchester Township Middle School

The Middle School would like to recognize the following Impact Club members: Zuzanna Wrazen, Olivia Ferrara, and Brayden McIntyre. Each of them has played an exemplary role in leadership as we began the 2023-2024 school year.  In our most recent events they were instrumental in assisting in the fall clean up at the Children's Memorial Garden in Toms River and currently the Helping Hands for Hunger Food Drive. Our club is successful because of students like Zuzanna, Olivia, and Brayden, who continuously and willingly give their time, efforts, and energy to make an impact  in our school and community.

Manchester Township Middle School Athletes of the Month

We are extremely proud to have John Clark and Kayla Meyer represent MTMS as our Student/Athletes for the month of November. John and Kayla are both a great representation of what it means to be a student athlete. They are both 8th grade leaders of our Cross Country teams, work just as hard in the classroom as they do in the athletic arena and serve as an excellent example to our younger student/athletes.
