Ridgeway Elementary's basic skills students and their families were treated to an evening of games, food, and fun all in the name of reading!
Last night students participated in the first-ever Literacy Glow Night where they were invited to come out for an evening of growing their reading skills in a fun and educational way. Thank you for packing this event!
Ridgeway's Title I Parent Engagement Literacy Glow Night brought families together to explore innovative ways to enhance literacy at home through gamification. Gamification, which involves integrating game elements into learning activities, such as points, badges, and levels, makes the educational experience more enjoyable and engaging for students. This heightened engagement often leads to increased motivation, participation, and retention of information.
Parents were equipped with strategies to make reading and writing exciting for their children at home, while students reveled in various glow-in-the-dark activities centered around literacy. It was a night filled with fun and learning, sparking enthusiasm for literacy in parents and students alike!
Manchester Township Elementary School and Whiting Elementary School basic skills students who received an invite should RSVP ASAP for their upcoming Literacy Glow Nights, today!
