NOVEMBER BOE MEETING - STUDENT RECOGNITIONS!
Each month, the Board of Education recognizes students from every school at their meeting. This month the Board of Education celebrated the following students and their achievements with the community:
Manchester Township Elementary School
Meet Nico Bococinski, Tucker Smith, and Emanuel Hernandez, Manchester Township Elementary School's (MTES) students of the month. These fourth graders have truly embodied what being an MTES Dragon is all about. These three students have become shining stars through hard work in school, a positive attitude, and focus. We are so proud of how far they have come and look forward to how much they will accomplish! Great job! We are proud of you.
Ridgeway Elementary School
Congratulations to Ridgeway Elementary School's (RES) students of the month! Hilary Berry is an exceptional 3rd grader! She was new to the country from Haiti last year in second grade and spoke very little English. Since then, she has been working hard to master the English language. She has acquired so much English that she is nearly fluent and can complete written responses using academic English.
Ryan Appice is a pre-K student who has demonstrated noted progress with sharing his ideas during Circle Time and participating in small group activities. Ryan knows his letters, sounds, colors, and numerals. He is practicing writing his first name with upper and lowercase letters. Ryan shares toys with his friends and loves to play with blocks or trains. Ryan’s teachers are proud of his hard work and the accomplishments he has accomplished by not giving up and always trying his best.
Whiting Elementary School
Led by Mrs. Boyd and Mrs. Boyd, on a crisp autumn Sunday morning, students, parents, and MTHS NHS members gathered for our fall garden cleanup. Armed with gloves, rakes, and trash bags, they worked side by side, clearing fallen leaves, pulling weeds, and preparing the garden beds for winter. The event not only beautified the school grounds but also fostered a sense of teamwork, leaving everyone with a renewed appreciation for this space. Thank you to all of the Whiting School students of the month who helped to continue and make Whiting School a great and beautiful place to be!
Regional Day School
Congratulations to Kwasi Boateng-Asante, Regional Day School's student of the month! Kwasi comes into school each and every day with a big smile and excitement to learn. He was recently elected as our Student Council Vice President. We are beyond proud of his progress and look forward to further growth this school year.

Manchester Township Middle School
Manchester Township Middle School (MTMS) is so proud to recognize Emma Sabo. Emma is a bright and committed 7th-grade student who works hard and is very dedicated. She is new to the MS band this year and Emma works diligently at learning the flute and has found great success. Her work ethic and sense of commitment can also be shown by her participation in Girl Scouts. Outside of the classroom, Emma is a member of the engineering team, where she contributes innovative ideas and works tirelessly with her peers to solve complex problems. Emma exemplifies hard work, determination, and a passion for growth. Congratulations, Emma!
We are extremely proud to have Nathan O'Hara and Avery Mount represent MTMS as our Student/Athletes for the month of November. Nathan and Avery are both a great representation of what it means to be a student athlete. They are both 8th grade leaders of our Soccer Teams, work just as hard in the classroom as they do in the athletic arena, and serve as an excellent example to our younger students/athletes.
Manchester Township High School
It is an honor to recognize Manchester Township High School's (MTHS) Lina Taylor for her exceptional leadership and service in the creation of The Care Closet. She played a pivotal role in designing and organizing this vital resource, which provides personal care items, laundry services, and other essentials to students across the district. Lina’s commitment to kindness and service is an inspiration to all Hawks, showing the impact one person can make through compassion and hard work.
November's MTHS athletes of the month, seniors Mary Elizabeth Grille and Aidan Lunn, have been true leaders for their teams this season. After missing last year’s competition season with major back surgery, Mary Elizabeth has come back to help lead her team to 2 bids granted last weekend for the Nationals. Aidan led our football Hawks to a division championship, 1st state win in school history, and was voted Divisional Player of the Year. Mary Elizabeth and Aidan are true leaders who represent our teams and school as well as anyone we’ve ever had. They are true role models for their peers and our school community. They truly are Super Hawks in many ways. Thank you for being so easy to root for.
