The Manchester Township School District (MTSD) is a proud partner with Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and has the wonderful opportunity to welcome many military children from the Joint Base who attend our schools.
April is the month when our nation recognizes military-connected children during the Month of the Military Child (MOMC). This week the Joint Base hosted its annual Proclamation signing and invited Manchester's military children to join in on this special program and celebration ahead of the Month of the Military Child!
The life of a military kid is a blend of unique adventures and challenges. The MOMC is a reminder that they serve our country too, as part of a military family, all year long.
When the MTSD returns from spring recess, April will include purple-days and more across our schools that recognize, applaud, celebrate and provide continued support to our students who are from military families. As military-children, these students overcome challenges and many transitions without choice and we strive at MTSD to provide them with an understanding and nurturing school community every day!
